Joseline, Werner and Suzanne- 2012 Management graduates |
The Faculty Of Business Studies provides professional business
education in a Christian environment to all eligible candidates seeking
careers in business. Our business programs provide specialized knowledge
of the business disciplines combined with management knowledge and a
training to produce professionally competent and ethically responsive
individuals.
Our business programs not only provide management knowledge, insights
and skills but also inculcate ethical values and moral responsibilities
in professional and personal life. The faculty offers tutorial support
to students and one-on-one consultation with their lecturers.
Furthermore, our broad-based approach gives training in accounting,
management, finance, economics and computers. This enables the
graduates to fit into any facet of business life and to decide on a
specific business discipline the student wishes to specialise. Our
business graduates have become entrepreneurs, chartered accountants,
finance managers, marketing managers, and professors with doctorate
degrees in business.
The teaching faculty consists of three chartered accountants, two
doctorate degree holders, and two master's degree holders in accounting
and finance. We have an excellent learning environment with latest
computer software, well equipped classrooms, low teacher-student ratio,
structured internship program, co-curricular activities, and individual
mentoring from experienced professors. The faculty is also committed
to promoting transparency and quality by benchmarking with standard
practices. The degrees offered at Helderberg are accredited by Council
on Higher Education and registered with the Government of South Africa
since 2004 (reference: http://www.hbc.ac.za/index.php/academic/faculty-of-business/faculty-of-business-welcome).
